Jenny Brooklin’s music is best described as bluesy, soulful alternative rock. A child of the 70’s, she is heavily influenced by classic rock, folk and blues icons such as Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Stevie Wonder and Fats Waller. An audio engineer and producer, Jenny records with local musicians in her home in the woods on Galiano Island BC. Her new album, Pearl, is a four-year labour of love and heartache, and a love song to her island hometown, featuring mostly musicians from Galiano.
